#27- Building a Multi Million Dollar Agency and Brand with Dante Nino
Thursday Feb 22, 2024
Thursday Feb 22, 2024
Episode Summary
Looking to build a standout recruiting agency?
In this episode Clark interviews from Dante Nino, founder of top construction recruiting firm Tiello. He shares the inside scoop on how he went from the 9 month struggle to getting their first placement, to being one of the first recruitment firms to unleash the power of LinkedIn, and engineering and construction (AEC) hiring needs.
Dante pulls back the curtain on his journey: from grinding through his first Aerotek years to the lessons, risks and intentional branding that grew Tiello's value and authority. You'll discover his "secret sauces" for justifying 30% fees, converting digital presence into tangible ROI, structuring win-win retained search partnerships, and more.
They dive into how Clark and Dante met 3 years ago and Clark introduced them to the power of LinkedIn.
Dante proves with authenticity and relevance, you can build a Recruitment Empire - even in a historically offline industry.
Dante’s Bio
Dante Nino grew up in Los Angeles, California chasing a dream to play professional soccer whilst working for his family's business (Nino's Development) each summer. From digging holes, to mixing concrete, and installing marble slabs for multimillion High-End Custom Homes he fell in love with the industry.
As Dante went to college to play collegiate soccer and continued summers working with the family business, he was being pushed to take over the company after college and continue working within the family business. Dante quickly realized that he wanted to do something of his own. That's when he met his future business partner/soccer teammate (Simon), who shared a similar entrepreneurship mindset and decided to pursue different outlets.
Quickly after graduating Dante landed a corporate job in recruiting for a multi-billion-dollar Recruitment firm but he still continued his involvement with Nino's Development. From Bakersfield, he’d take weekend trips down to the Hollywood Hills to visit job sites, connect with architects, developers, and contractors, and grow his network within the development world. Simon and Dante quickly found that there was a huge problem retaining and finding good talent within the construction sector.
Combining his passion for construction along with his recruitment experience, and valuable network within the Los Angeles development world they quickly found a niche and a unique approach that gave them validation and quick success in a saturated industry of recruitment.
Now Dante looks forward to partnering with the best construction companies and helping them succeed as a strategic recruiting partner.

Tuesday Feb 20, 2024
Tuesday Feb 20, 2024
Engaging Content Sells:
Clark and Kevin provide highly tactical advice for creating compelling content on LinkedIn that generates leads and sales. They emphasize the importance of grabbing attention quickly, using plenty of white space for easy reading, telling one clear story per post, and ending with an emotional narrative rather than a hard sales pitch. Other critical tips include optimizing your profile congruently with your content, engaging consistently to build trust and familiarity, responding thoughtfully to comments to keep conversations going, and remembering that every piece of content is an opportunity to connect.
Teaching You How to Fish:
This isn't just about templates and examples, Clark and Kevin stress, but rather about teaching timeless principles of communication psychology and influence. They aim to impart a foundational understanding of writing and marketing that equips you for long-term success, with frameworks and mindsets focused on knowing your ideal customer, solving their problems, and guiding them gently through sales funnels. With enthusiasm and care for their fellow recruiters, they commit to further installments where they'll dive deeper into commenting strategies, messaging approaches, and more nuts and bolts of converting content into conversations and revenue.

#25- From Side Hustle to Full Time Agency Owner with Jordan Greenberg
Friday Feb 09, 2024
Friday Feb 09, 2024
Episode Summary
In this podcast episode, Clark interviews Jordan Greenberg, Founder @ The Recruitery, a recruiting company focus on helping early stage startups build their teams.
Originally, he was a SaaS consultant who struggled to find a job despite countless applications and interviews. After months of rejection, Jordan eventually decided to help others get hired instead. He realized that relationships and connections were critical in the recruiting process. But first, he used his networking skills to connect with the CEO of a growing startup, got hired as their Customer Success Manager, and took off from there.
By buying the Digital Recruiter courses and talking to Clark, he was able to set up automation and content systems that generated his first few clients and placements, that allowed him to leave his job and run his agency full time.
Clark & Jordan cover the differences between job seeking in the US versus Israel and the importance of in person networking, staying patient, niching down, and working hard to create the clients and business you want.\
Jordan’s Bio
Jordan Greenberg has been working in B2B SaaS for over 10 years, specializing in customer facing roles. After switching companies three times and experiencing countless frustrations during the job search process (you can read here about his experience while living abroad) it dawned on him that the best job search experiences and offers he accepted came with the help of an external recruiter.
In addition to his passion for helping coach and place hundreds of job-seekers into permanent positions, Jordan is a firm advocate for utilizing an external recruiter for candidates. External recruiters are not only a free resource for job-seekers, but also help effectively position candidates for success and facilitate an end-to-end hiring process that can streamline a company's search for the best match.
Jordan decided to utilize his consulting, networking, and matchmaking skills by establishing The Recruitery. His mission is to build strong relationships on both sides of the interview table while managing an efficient, yet careful recruiting process resulting in long-term happy clients and candidates.

Evolve our Recruiting Game
Recruiting is a grind. Anyone that tells you differently is lying (or selling you lead gen services.)
The lack of formal sales & recruiting training in our industry is a problem. A great recruiter decides to launch their firm, brings on a few clients, but then gets stuck hiring new team members, finding new clients, & evaluating what works and doesn't.
There’s a reason most agencies can’t scale. There’s never a time to step back and evaluate what works, what doesn’t. Next thing you know, you've spent thousands on tools that no one is really leveraging correctly or using at all.
You want to do it differently than other agencies, but are stuck in the day-to-day of qualifying reqs, chasing feedback, & wondering how to get the most out of your team.
Enter the DIGITAL RCRUITER.
After 5 years at Aerotek & 2 years booking thousands of sales calls for clients via LinkedIn, from influencers with 700,000 followers to founders with less than 100” connections, I steered the Digital Recruiter in 2021.
Since then, I have worked with 150+ recruiters & agency owners on their recruiting process & LinkedIn outreach + content leading to millions in additional placements.
Now, I work exclusively with recruiting owners and leadership teams that have proven they can sell, but want to take the next step.
By reverse engineering where you want to go together, and utilizing our holistic approach to recruiting, merging old school fundamentals with a digital presence is how we get there together.
If you work with a sense of urgency and humility and have a good time working hard, we likely will get along well.
Want to see how we can work together?
